Our goal and gift is to provide truly epic once-in-a-lifetime images, and whether in a new and unique location or an often photographed and beloved barn or beaver pond, our images stand apart from the rest due to the artful blending of Landscape and Portrait photography practices, creating that iconic look for which we are known!

How we came to LOVE Elopement Photography
Our passion for Elopement photography began with a lucky intersection of events... We have long been enamored of Landscape photography - getting up early to see the sun rise, capturing the milkyway reeling past overtop our camp, and that *special* light that comes just as the storm breaks - which we still love! It began innocently enough... We were far off in the mountains, happily photographing the clouds moving across a snow-capped peak when a freshly married couple topped the ridge line and approached us. Well, conversation eventually turned to "perhaps we could photograph them" which neither of us had planned, but we loved the idea, agreed, and completely enjoyed the experience! The images we were blessed with exceeded our (and the couple's!) expectations so wildly that we thought "hey, you know, that was too much fun to simply let it be a one-off event! Someone is sending us a message!" And we started low-key advertising our availability for remote, on-location wedding photography.
We found after a while, that we preferred the calm and unhurried cadence of portraits over the sheer documentation-by-script of typical wedding photography, so we moved exclusively to Elopement Photography, particularly very small events or preferably after-the-wedding-portraiture. We have been producing the most amazing images ever since! Our time with so many love birds has been intoxicating, and reminds us constantly of our own elopement.

When you book with us, you receive our commitment to create images that tell your story with a masterful combination of artistic passion and technical skill. You also receive the benefits of our love for the outdoors, as well as for each other, which informs our photographic style and our ability to guide you in exploring the moments we capture.
Our first phone call (or zoom meeting!) is a crucial time to discuss how to achieve your creative desires within your budget, formulate your timeline, and set a tentative location and date. To formalize your reservation on our calendar, we require payment of our retainer. Next, we create your personal account on our website along with your password-protected image gallery - your own private space for reviewing your images and ordering prints. We also send a welcome packet detailing all you'll need to know to prepare for your upcoming photoshoot along with our contract to be signed digitally. Full payment for your photoshoot is to be made no later than 1 week in advance of your session.
Once booking is complete, you'll have a direct line of communication with us - we're here for any quick questions should they arise or adjustments to your plans, even just to help calm your nerves or share your excitement!
During your photoshoot we help with posing, adjustments to wardrobe and relaxing in front of the camera. We allow ample private time for you to explore, to take in the experience and to recharge between locations; we feel this is critical to both your images and your memories. We endeavor to create genuine and artful images of you - the real you, the best you possible. And the single most effective way to accomplish this is to help you remain relaxed yet energized. Breaks, snacks, even a nap can be just the right thing for keeping your energy up!
In the weeks following your photoshoot we edit and polish your images to perfection, load them into your private gallery and send an email with a direct link & passcode to your images. You'll be able to review the images, preview different crop ratios, and more before ordering print products. Your gallery is active for an entire month so you have ample time to choose the perfect prints. We are available to assist you in choosing print sizes and options, help with book layouts, and to answer all the questions that come up along the way. We also offer in-person image reviews - our favorite because we get to share in the excitement and receive in-the-moment feedback! In-person viewings also tend to reduce the time before your order is delivered!
We are flexible about this part: We can do our standard "edit then display" which usually takes a week or two before you see your images, or if you're going crazy waiting to see what we shot, we can post a "Sneak Peek" to your gallery to keep your pulse up!
It's not about US, it's about YOU! If you would prefer to be part of the initial selection process, we will happily engage with you! We'll either schedule a face-to-face or phone/zoom meeting to team up for initial image selections. One of the great features of having our own server is that we can go with you through your gallery and discuss each and every image in detail while on the phone!
Other considerations when booking:
We have limited bookings each year and they fill quickly so call us as soon as you can! We dedicate ourselves to one client at a time - Never a double or "back-to-back" booking! This dedication allows us to remain focused entirely on YOUR elopement photography and videography.
What about spontaneity? We always keep a few days free each month for spur of the moment events - Call us even on short notice, we still might be able to accomodate you!
We're going into a National Park - how does that work? Some photoshoots (but not all!) may require permits - we'll handle that little detail if needed. We want you to be free from worry during your time with us so you can be fully present. You just need to relax, smile and look good - we'll handle the rest!

We have the knowledge, experience, focus and technical skills to capture your elopement in stunning imagery you'll cherish - images that will become heirloom artwork. Our booking process is fluid and easy, beginning with that first phone call. Our time with you will be exciting, full of core memories and the part where you face into the camera will be super easy too! Our image selection process is simple and flexible to meet your needs. Our editing style is gentle, always preserving your true presentation. We charge separately for creating your images and for any prints you might order allowing you the freedom to choose the level of investment befitting your needs and budget - no pre-packaged bundles running up your costs. Pay only for what you need, nothing more. We offer a full range of portraiture in conjunction with your Elopement (or on separate occasions!) including Boudoir/Glamour/Art Portraiture, and have even been known for pet photography as well!
